  • xsmarkets.com

Type the address yourself or use a bookmark. Check it matches the website listed for the firm on the regulator’s register.

Watch out for look-alike sites

We have not recorded any look-alike sites for XS.com. That does not mean none exist.

A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Leverage and margin

Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most XS.com allows; you can always use less.

Leverage by asset class not yet checked. Headline retail leverage: Up to 1:2000 (XS Ltd, dynamic); 1:30 on major pairs for EU retail clients.

Margin call
40%When your equity falls to 40% of the margin your open trades use, you get a warning and usually cannot open new trades.
Stop-out
20%When your equity falls to 20% of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.

Margin level = equity ÷ used margin × 100. Work out your margin level

Features

Strengths

  • Group companies licensed by CySEC (412/22), ASIC (374409) and Labuan FSA, all checked on the regulators' registers
  • Negative balance protection and segregated client accounts are in the XS Ltd client agreement
  • No minimum deposit on Standard, Cent and Micro accounts, and published average EUR/USD spreads for each account

Watch out for

  • Clients of xs.com join XS Ltd in Seychelles, an offshore licence with leverage up to 1:2000 and no compensation scheme
  • The ASIC licence covers wholesale clients only, and the CySEC company serves the EU through a different website
  • Says group companies hold licences from the FSCA (FSP 53199), FSC Mauritius (GB25204786), the UAE Capital Market Authority (20200000339) and Kuwait (513918); we could not confirm these on the regulators' registers on 2026-10-20 (FSCA and FSC sites unreachable, UAE and Kuwait not checked).

Overview

XS.com is the brand of XS Group, which offers CFDs on forex, metals, energies, indices, cryptocurrencies, futures and shares on MetaTrader 4 and 5. The xs.com website is run by XS Ltd, a Seychelles company (number 8428765-1). The group lists further companies in Cyprus, Australia, Labuan, South Africa, Mauritius, the UAE, Kuwait, Saint Lucia and St Vincent.

Regulation and safety

The licence that matters for most readers is XS Ltd’s. The FSA Seychelles lists it as a securities dealer, and XS gives the licence number SD089. That is an offshore licence with no compensation scheme. XS Markets Ltd is on the CySEC register under licence 412/22, but it serves the EU through xsmarkets.com, and xs.com says it is not directed at EU residents. XS Prime Ltd holds Australian licence AFSL 374409, which ASIC’s register shows as covering wholesale clients only. XS Finance Limited is on the Labuan FSA’s list of money brokers.

We could not confirm the FSCA, FSC Mauritius, UAE and Kuwait licences. The St Vincent and Saint Lucia numbers are company registrations, not licences. The XS Ltd agreement provides negative balance protection and segregated client accounts. Our guide to forex broker regulation explains why the company you join matters more than the group’s list of licences.

Costs

XS publishes average EUR/USD spreads per account: 1.1 pips on Standard, 0.7 on Pro, both commission-free, and 0.1 on Elite plus $6 per round lot. One standard lot of EUR/USD therefore costs about $11 on Standard, $7 on Pro and $7 on Elite. Swaps are extra. Use our trading costs guide to compare.

Platforms and tools

MT4 and MT5 are both offered, plus the XS Trading App, PAMM accounts and copy-trading accounts. Leverage is dynamic, up to 1:2000, with a 40% margin call and 20% stop-out. See MT4 vs MT5.

Deposits and withdrawals

You can pay by bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard, Skrill or Neteller. XS says it charges no deposit or withdrawal fees, but may charge up to 3% if you withdraw without trading. Banks and payment firms may add their own fees.

Who it may suit

The account range suits traders who want MetaTrader, no minimum deposit and published average spreads. If you open through xs.com, your protection comes from the Seychelles licence, not from the group’s EU or Australian companies.

How to open an account

The steps as we checked them. Never deposit until you have confirmed the licence.

  1. Check which company you will join

Accounts opened on xs.com are with XS Ltd, Seychelles (FSA licence SD089). EU and EEA residents are served by XS Markets Ltd (CySEC) on xsmarkets.com. The company is named in the client agreement.

  2. Register

Sign up on xs.com with your personal details. XS does not offer its services to residents of the USA, Iran or North Korea, among others.

  3. Verify your identity

Upload an identity document and proof of address before you trade or withdraw.

  4. Choose an account

Standard, Cent and Micro have no minimum deposit and no commission. Pro and Elite need $500; Elite adds a $6 round-turn commission charged when you open the trade.

  5. Fund the account

Deposit by card from $20, Skrill or Neteller from $15, or bank transfer from $300, in your own name.

  6. Practise first

Open a demo account on MT4 or MT5 before trading with real money.
