A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Leverage and margin
Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most Admirals (Admiral Markets) allows; you can always use less.
30% (Seychelles company)When your equity falls to 30% (Seychelles company) of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.
UK and EU companies licensed by the FCA and CySEC, with client money in segregated accounts
Low minimum deposit (25 USD or EUR on Trade.MT5 and Zero.MT5, 1 USD or EUR on Invest.MT5)

Watch out for
International clients join Admirals SC Ltd, licensed only in the Seychelles (offshore tier), with leverage up to 1:1000
Says Admirals SA (Pty) Ltd is licensed by the FSCA; the FSCA's OTC derivative provider list shows it as Withdrawn, and we could not reach the FSCA FSP register on 2026-10-20 to check its FSP licence.
The group also names companies in Jordan, Canada and the UAE; we did not confirm those licences on 2026-10-20.
Only one free withdrawal a month per payment method; after 24 months without trades a 10 EUR monthly fee applies
Overview
Admirals, formerly Admiral Markets, belongs to Admirals Group AS of Estonia. It offers forex and CFDs on MetaTrader 4 and 5 and its own Admirals platform, plus real stocks and ETFs on its Invest.MT5 account. The website you see depends on where you live; from most countries outside the UK and EU it is run by Admirals SC Ltd in the Seychelles.
Regulation and safety
We checked these on the regulators’ registers on 20 October 2026: Admiral Markets UK Ltd (FCA 595450), Admirals Europe Ltd (CySEC 201/13, formerly Admiral Markets Cyprus Ltd), Admirals KE Limited (Kenya CMA, licence 178, listed as a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker) and Admirals SC Ltd, which appears on the FSA Seychelles list of securities dealers. The Seychelles list gives no numbers; SD073 is the number Admirals publishes. The FCA register lists Admiral Markets AS and Admiral Markets Cyprus Ltd as no longer authorised in the UK.
The company you join decides your protection. UK clients have the FSCS and EU clients the Cypriot investor compensation fund. The Seychelles company is offshore tier, with no compensation scheme. Its retail clients have a negative balance policy, but leverage is up to 1:1000 on currencies. The FCA has also warned about clone sites using the Admirals name, including admiralsfx.com and fxsadmiral.com. Our guides to broker regulation and broker scams explain how to check a website.
Costs
At the Seychelles company, Trade.MT5 is spread-only, with forex spreads from 0.6 pips. Zero.MT5 has spreads from 0.0 pips plus a commission of 1.8 to 3.0 USD per lot on forex and metals. Admirals publishes minimum spreads, not typical ones, so we have not listed typical figures. Swaps apply overnight. Inactivity costs 10 EUR a month after 24 months without trades. Use the trading costs guide to compare the two accounts for your volume.
Platforms and tools
MetaTrader 4 and 5 are offered, with the MetaTrader Supreme Edition add-on, StereoTrader and a VPS service. Admirals also has its own web platform and mobile app. See MT4 vs MT5.
Deposits and withdrawals
Deposits by bank transfer, card, Skrill, Neteller and crypto are free. You get one free withdrawal a month per payment method; after that the Seychelles company charges a fee that depends on the method, such as 2% or 3%. Transfers between accounts in different currencies cost 1%.
Who it may suit
The Seychelles account fits traders who want low minimum deposits and MetaTrader with a wide range of CFDs, and who accept an offshore licence. UK and EU residents get the FCA or CySEC company instead. Check the company name on our broker check page and practise on a demo account first.

Admirals (Admiral Markets): common questions
Is Admirals regulated?
Yes. Admiral Markets UK Ltd is FCA-authorised (595450), Admirals Europe Ltd holds CySEC licence 201/13, Admirals KE Limited is licensed by Kenya's CMA (licence 178) and Admirals SC Ltd is on the FSA Seychelles list of securities dealers. We checked each on 20 October 2026. The Seychelles licence is offshore tier.
Which Admirals company will I join?
Admiral Markets UK Ltd if you live in the UK, Admirals Europe Ltd in the EU and EEA, Admirals KE Limited in Kenya, and Admirals SC Ltd (Seychelles) in most other countries. Check the name in your client agreement.
What is the minimum deposit?
At the Seychelles company, 25 USD or 25 EUR activates a Trade.MT5 or Zero.MT5 account, and 1 USD or EUR an Invest.MT5 account. Amounts in other currencies are listed on the account types page.
Can I lose more than I deposit?
Admirals publishes a negative account balance policy for retail clients, and UK and EU retail clients have negative balance protection by rule. Leverage up to 1:1000 at the Seychelles company still means losses can build very quickly.
