  • fpmarkets.co.ke

Type the address yourself or use a bookmark. Check it matches the website listed for the firm on the regulator’s register.

Watch out for look-alike sites

We have not recorded any look-alike sites for FP Markets. That does not mean none exist.

A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Features

Strengths

  • Licensed by ASIC and CySEC, with retail client money held separately from company funds
  • Publishes average spreads per account (EUR/USD 1.29 pips Standard, 0.19 pips Raw)
  • Wide platform choice, including cTrader and TradingView

Watch out for

  • The international website is operated by FP Markets Ltd, a Saint Lucia company (registration 2025-00853) that holds no financial licence; check which company your client agreement names.
  • International clients may be placed with the Seychelles company (offshore tier), with leverage up to 1:500 and no compensation scheme
  • Says FP Markets (Pty) Ltd is an FSCA-authorised financial services provider (FSP 50926); we could not confirm it on the FSCA register on 2026-10-20 because the register could not be reached.

Overview

FP Markets was founded in Sydney in 2005 and holds an Australian Financial Services Licence. It offers two accounts: Standard, with the cost built into the spread, and Raw, with raw spreads plus a commission. Both start at US$100 and run on MetaTrader 4 and 5 and cTrader; the Raw account is also on TradingView.

Regulation and safety

We checked these on the regulators’ registers on 20 October 2026: First Prudential Markets Pty Ltd (ASIC AFSL 286354), First Prudential Markets Ltd (CySEC 371/18), FP Markets Limited (Kenya CMA licence 193, a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker) and First Prudential Markets Limited, which appears on the FSA Seychelles list of securities dealers. The Seychelles list gives no licence numbers; SD130 is the number FP Markets publishes. Its South African company (FSCA FSP 50926) could not be checked.

The international website is run by FP Markets Ltd, registered in Saint Lucia (2025-00853). That is a company registration, not a financial licence. FP Markets says it serves clients through the licensed company that fits their country, so check the name on your client agreement. EU clients of the Cyprus company are covered by the investor compensation fund up to €20,000. Our broker regulation guide explains the tiers.

Costs

FP Markets publishes average spreads. On EUR/USD the Standard account averages 1.29 pips, about $12.90 per standard lot. The Raw account averages 0.19 pips plus US$3 commission per lot each way, about $7.90 per lot in total. Gold averages 24 cents on Standard and 10 cents on Raw. Swaps apply overnight. The trading costs guide shows how to compare the two for your volume.

Platforms and tools

MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and TradingView are available, plus WebTrader for MT4 and MT5 and a VPS for automated trading. Expert Advisors, scalping and hedging are allowed. See MT4 vs MT5.

Deposits and withdrawals

You can deposit by bank wire, Visa or Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, crypto or a transfer from another broker. FP Markets says it charges no deposit fee on Skrill and Neteller. It does not publish a withdrawal fee table on the international site, so check the cost for your method in the Client Portal.

Who it may suit

The set-up fits traders who want a choice of MetaTrader, cTrader or TradingView and published average spreads to compare. Australian and EU residents get the ASIC or CySEC company. Others should confirm which company they join, using our broker check, and start on a demo account.

How to open an account

The steps as we checked them. Never deposit until you have confirmed the licence.

  1. Check which company you will join

Australians join First Prudential Markets Pty Ltd (ASIC), EU and EEA residents First Prudential Markets Ltd (CySEC) and Kenyans FP Markets Limited (CMA). International clients may be placed with First Prudential Markets Limited (Seychelles). The international site itself is run by FP Markets Ltd in Saint Lucia. The company is named in your client agreement.

  2. Register in the Client Portal

Give your personal details and answer the questions about your trading experience.

  3. Verify your identity

Upload ID and proof of address if the electronic checks are not enough.

  4. Choose Standard or Raw

Standard has the cost in the spread; Raw has raw spreads plus US$3 per lot each way. Both start at US$100 or the equivalent.

  5. Fund and practise

Deposit by bank wire, card, Skrill, Neteller or crypto from an account in your own name, and try the demo account first.
