Watch out for look-alike sites
We have not recorded any look-alike sites for IFC Markets. That does not mean none exist.
A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Leverage and margin
Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most IFC Markets allows; you can always use less.
10%When your equity falls to 10% of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.
Fixed 1.8-pip EUR/USD spread on Classic accounts, so costs are known in advance
Micro and Nano accounts from $15

Watch out for
Licensed only in the BVI (offshore) and Labuan; no FCA, ASIC, CySEC or similar licence
Stop-out level of only 10%, so positions are closed late and losses can run far
Monthly inactivity fee of up to $10 after 12 months without trading
Standard accounts need a $1,000 first deposit
Overview
IFC Markets has offered CFDs since 2006. Besides MetaTrader 4 and 5 it runs its own NetTradeX platform, where you can build synthetic instruments from other assets. There are four account families: Classic (fixed spreads), Direct (floating), Pro (market execution) and ECN (raw spread plus commission). Most come in a Standard version from $1,000 and a Micro or Nano version from $15.
Regulation and safety
IFCMARKETS. CORP. is incorporated in the BVI and listed by the BVI FSC as currently regulated for dealing as principal and arranging deals. IFC Markets gives its certificate as SIBA/L/14/1073. IFC Markets Ltd, registered in Labuan under LL16237, appears in the Labuan FSA directory as a money broker; the broker gives licence number MB/20/0049. Neither register shows the number itself.
The BVI is an offshore centre with lighter rules than the UK or EU, and there is no compensation scheme like the FSCS. We did not find a statement on the site that client money is kept in segregated accounts. Our regulation guide explains what each layer of oversight gives you, and you can check a broker yourself.
Costs
On Classic accounts EUR/USD has a fixed 1.8-pip spread, about $18 per standard lot. Direct and Pro accounts quote floating spreads from 0.4 and 0.1 pips, and ECN accounts from 0.0 pips plus a 0.005% volume commission. IFC Markets publishes minimums for these, not typical spreads. Use our trading costs guide to compare.
Platforms and tools
NetTradeX, MT4 and MT5 are available on desktop, web and mobile. Expert advisors run on MT4 and MT5. Market depth is shown only on ECN accounts. See MT4 vs MT5.
Deposits and withdrawals
Bank transfers take two to three working days and cost whatever your bank charges. Card deposits are instant, from $100 up to $5,000. Withdrawal fees vary by method, and card withdrawals are capped at $1,000 a day. Requests are handled during back-office working hours, not around the clock.
Who it may suit
Traders who want fixed spreads or NetTradeX and accept offshore regulation. Start on a demo account and note the low 10% stop-out before using high leverage.

IFC Markets: common questions
Is IFC Markets regulated?
IFCMARKETS. CORP. is listed by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a currently regulated entity, and IFC Markets Ltd is listed in the Labuan FSA directory as a money broker. We checked both on 20 October 2026. Neither register prints the licence number; the numbers above are the ones IFC Markets publishes. It has no licence from a strict regulator such as the FCA or CySEC.
Which company will I join?
Either IFCMARKETS. CORP. in the BVI or IFC Markets Ltd in Labuan. Your client agreement names the company, and that is the one whose regulator you can complain to.
What is the minimum deposit?
$15 for Micro and Nano accounts and $1,000 for Standard accounts. Some payment methods have higher minimums, such as $100 by bank card.
Can I lose more than I deposit?
IFC Markets says that if your balance goes negative after a stop-out it will usually reset it to zero. The 10% stop-out level means positions stay open until most of your margin is gone, so losses can be fast.
