About us
About BrokerCut Forex Academy
A free forex education magazine and Academy for new and developing traders. Plain English, worked examples and honest risk warnings, with no signals and no hype.
BrokerCut Forex Academy helps you understand how the currency market works before you put money into it. Everything here is free to read. You do not need an account, and we will never ask you to sign up to see a lesson.
What you will find here
- The Academy: structured courses that take you step by step from your first currency pair to risk management, chart reading, strategy testing and moving from demo to live. Each lesson has worked examples, diagrams and a short quiz.
- The magazine: longer articles on single topics, such as what trading really costs, how broker regulation works and risk management.
- Tools: calculators that work in your browser, such as the position size calculator, so you can check the numbers on a trade before you place it.
- The glossary: short, plain-English definitions of the terms you will meet, from pip to margin call.
- Broker profiles: factual profiles that show who regulates a broker, which company you would actually sign up with, and what it costs to trade. We explain the method on how we review brokers.
Who it is for
We write for two groups: new traders who want to understand the basics properly, without being sold anything, and developing traders who already place trades but want firmer habits: sizing positions by risk, keeping a journal, testing a method before trusting it, and knowing what their broker is actually charging.
We assume no prior knowledge. Where we use a technical word, we explain it or link it to the glossary.
What we will never do
- No signals. We do not tell you what to buy or sell, or when.
- No profit promises. We do not claim any method, course or tool will make you money. Most retail traders who use leverage lose money, and we say so.
- No rankings or "best broker" lists. Our broker profiles state facts. They do not score, rate, rank or recommend.
- No personal advice. We cannot tell you what is right for your money or your situation.
How the site is funded
The site is free because some brokers pay us a commission when a reader opens an account through one of our affiliate links. Those links appear only in clearly labelled "Sponsored" placements, never inside the text of an article or lesson. A commercial relationship never changes what a broker profile says, what we write, or which facts we show. The full details are in our advertising disclosure.
How we write and check our work
We check facts against primary sources, such as regulators, central banks and official statistics, and we recheck the maths in every worked example. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Our editorial policy sets out the rules we follow.
