Watch out for look-alike sites
We have not recorded any look-alike sites for Exness. That does not mean none exist.
A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Leverage and margin
Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most Exness allows; you can always use less.
Leverage by asset class not yet checked. Headline retail leverage: Up to 1:Unlimited on some accounts (offshore companies).
60% (Standard); 30% (Pro, Zero, Raw Spread)When your equity falls to 60% (Standard); 30% (Pro, Zero, Raw Spread) of the margin your open trades use, you get a warning and usually cannot open new trades.
Stop-out
0% (stocks differ)When your equity falls to 0% (stocks differ) of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.
Licences confirmed with the FSCA in South Africa, the CMA in Kenya and the UAE's Capital Market Authority
Low $10 minimum deposit on the Standard account and no withdrawal fees from Exness
Exness says client money is held in segregated accounts and retail accounts have negative balance protection
Watch out for
Most retail clients join offshore companies (FSA Seychelles or BVI FSC), and the strictly regulated UK and Cyprus companies do not accept retail clients
Exness also says it holds licences from the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (Exness B.V., 0003LSI), the FSC of Belize (Forexite Ltd., 9110312), the FSC of Mauritius (Exness (MU) Ltd, GB20025294), the Jordan Securities Commission (Exness Limited Jordan) and an FSCA ODP authorisation for Exness (SC) Ltd. We could not confirm these on the regulators' registers on 2026-10-20.
Leverage up to 1:Unlimited and a 0% stop-out mean a position can be closed only when your margin is gone
Overview
Exness is a broker that runs several companies under one brand. Retail clients on exness.com are mostly placed with offshore or regional companies. Exness says its UK and Cyprus companies do not offer services to retail clients. It offers MetaTrader 4 and 5 and its own terminal on forex, metals, crypto, energies, stocks and indices.
Regulation and safety
We confirmed seven companies on regulators’ registers. Exness (SC) Ltd is listed by the FSA Seychelles as a securities dealer, and Exness (VG) Ltd by the BVI FSC. Both are offshore regulators. Exness ZA is an authorised FSP in South Africa. Exness (KE) holds Kenyan CMA licence 162 as a non-dealing forex broker. Exness MENA Financial Brokers L.L.C is active on the UAE Capital Market Authority’s list. Exness (UK) Ltd is FCA-authorised (730729) and Exness (Cy) Ltd holds CySEC licence 178/12, but Exness says neither takes retail clients.
Exness also lists licences in Curaçao, Belize, Mauritius and Jordan. We could not confirm them because those registers did not load or did not show the firm. Offshore licences give weaker protection than strict ones, as our regulation guide explains. Use check a broker to confirm the company on your contract.
Costs
The Standard account has no commission, spreads from 0.2 pips and a $10 minimum. Pro starts from 0.1 pips with no commission. Zero starts from 0 pips plus a commission from $0.05 per side per lot. Raw Spread starts from 0 pips plus up to $3.50 per side per lot. These are minimums, so compare live spreads. The trading costs guide shows how.
Platforms and tools
MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, the Exness Terminal and the Exness Trade app. See MT4 vs MT5.
Deposits and withdrawals
Exness says it charges no withdrawal fees and covers third-party transaction fees, though some payment methods may still charge. Methods vary by country.
Who it may suit
The set-up fits traders in Kenya, South Africa or the UAE who want a locally licensed company, and experienced traders who understand high leverage. Elsewhere you would most likely join an offshore company, so weigh the lighter protection first.
How to open an account
The steps as we checked them. Never deposit until you have confirmed the licence.
Check which company you will join
Exness assigns you to a company by country. Kenyan residents use exness.ke (CMA). Most others on exness.com join Exness (SC) Ltd or another offshore company. The company is named in the client agreement.
Choose an account
Standard has a $10 minimum, no commission and spreads from 0.2 pips. Pro, Zero and Raw Spread target experienced traders, with spreads from 0 to 0.1 pips and, on Zero and Raw Spread, a commission per lot.
Verify and fund
Verify your identity, then fund with a payment method in your own name. Exness says it does not serve US residents, among others.

Exness: common questions
Is Exness regulated?
Several Exness companies are licensed. On 2026-10-20 we confirmed Exness (SC) Ltd with the FSA Seychelles, Exness (VG) Ltd with the BVI FSC, Exness ZA with the FSCA (FSP 51024), Exness (KE) with Kenya's CMA (162) and Exness MENA with the UAE's CMA. Exness (UK) Ltd (FCA 730729) and Exness (Cy) Ltd (CySEC 178/12) are licensed but do not take retail clients.
Which Exness company will I join?
It depends on your country. Kenyan residents join Exness (KE) Limited. Most retail clients elsewhere join an offshore company such as Exness (SC) Ltd. Check the company named in your client agreement.
What is the minimum deposit?
$10 on the Standard account. Minimums for Pro, Zero and Raw Spread are not shown on the account page and may depend on your region.
Can I lose more than I deposit?
Exness says it offers negative balance protection, so losses should be capped at your account balance. With unlimited leverage and a 0% stop-out, you can lose that balance very fast.
