Our notes

Strengths
  • CGTrade (Mauritius) Limited is on the FSC Mauritius register as an investment dealer (SEC-2.1B), licensed since 19 July 2019
  • States negative balance protection in its FAQ, and the client agreement says client money is segregated
  • Cent and Standard accounts have no minimum deposit; ECN commission is published ($3 per side)
  • Parent company is a Danish bank classed as systemically important, with bank licences in Denmark and Switzerland
  • Every listed company is authorised by a strict regulator
  • No minimum funding in the UK, and negative balance protection for retail clients
  • Forex, stocks, bonds, futures and options in one account
Watch out for
  • The global client agreement is with CGTrade LC Limited, registered in Saint Lucia (company 2025-00724); that is a company registration, not a licence
  • Says it holds UAE Capital Market Authority licence 20200000446; we could not find a CG FinTech company on the CMA's licensed companies register on 2026-10-20
  • The ASIC licence it displays (AFSL 236783, Corner Global AU Pty Ltd) covers wholesale clients only, so it does not protect retail traders
  • Leverage up to 1:1000 with a 10% stop-out
  • Saxo publishes minimum spreads, not typical spreads, and prices vary by account tier and country
  • No MetaTrader; trading runs on Saxo's own platforms or TradingView
  • BG SAXO SIM was checked on CONSOB's published list of registered SIMs (February 2025 edition); the live CONSOB register blocked our access on 2026-10-20

Risk warnings

The buttons to a broker’s website above the table are partner links: we may earn a commission if you open an account through them. That never changes the facts shown here. Trading leveraged products such as forex and CFDs carries a high risk of losing money rapidly, and most retail accounts lose money. Each broker’s own warning:

  • CG FinTech: Contracts for Differences (‘CFDs’) are leveraged financial products and may incur a high level of risk whereby a small market movement or fluctuation in prices may affect the investment value greatly. It may not be appropriate for all individuals and you should not risk more than you are prepared to lose. CFDs are not traded on any exchange and they are Over-The-Counter products whereby the prices of the CFDs are derived from the underlying market. CFD traders do not own or have any rights to the underlying assets. Before deciding to trade, you should ensure that you understand the risks involved and take into account your level of trading experience. You should obtain independent financial, legal and tax advice before proceeding with any trading instruments.
  • Saxo: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 61% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Cost per lot is the typical EUR/USD spread in busy hours × $10, plus any round-turn commission, for one standard lot. “Not yet checked” means we have not confirmed that fact yet. This page compares facts; it does not rank the brokers or recommend either. Confirm costs and licences on each broker’s site and the regulator’s public register before opening an account: see how we review brokers and check a broker yourself.
