Watch out for look-alike sites
We have not recorded any look-alike sites for XChief. That does not mean none exist.
A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Leverage and margin
Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most XChief allows; you can always use less. For comparison, strict regulators cap retail leverage at 1:30 on major pairs.
30% (CENT, Classic+, DirectFX); 50% (xPRIME)When your equity falls to 30% (CENT, Classic+, DirectFX); 50% (xPRIME) of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.
Four account types, including a cent account with no minimum deposit
Negative balance protection and segregated client money are stated in its risk disclosure
Leverage is cut automatically as account equity grows, which limits the size of positions on larger accounts
Watch out for
Says xChief Ltd holds Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) licence T2023379; we could not confirm it on MISA's register on 2026-10-20 (the register blocked automated access).
Says xChief ZA (Pty) Ltd is authorised by the FSCA as FSP 54829; we could not confirm it on the FSCA register on 2026-10-20 (the register could not be reached). That company only introduces clients; accounts are opened with xChief Ltd in Comoros.

Inactive accounts pay $20 and then $20 a month
Overview
XChief offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 accounts on currencies, metals, commodities, indices, cryptocurrencies and US shares. Every account is opened with xChief Ltd, a company registered in Fomboni on the island of Mwali (Mohéli), Comoros, with registration number HY00923433. Its support email addresses and mobile app still use the ForexChief name.
Regulation and safety
XChief says xChief Ltd holds an international brokerage licence, T2023379, from the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA). We tried to check this on MISA’s register on 2026-10-20, but the site blocked automated access, so the licence is unconfirmed. Even if confirmed, a MISA licence sits at the lowest level of protection: there is no compensation scheme and little public information about supervision.
XChief also names xChief ZA (Pty) Ltd as an FSCA-authorised intermediary, FSP 54829. We could not reach the FSCA register to confirm it. By XChief’s own description, that company only introduces South African clients; your account and money sit with xChief Ltd in Comoros. With no licence we could confirm, there is no compensation scheme. Read forex broker scams and use our broker check before sending money.
Costs
Classic+ has no commission and spreads from 0.6 pips. DirectFX charges $2.50 a side and xPRIME $3 a side. On xPRIME, XChief lists an average EUR/USD spread of 0.1 pips, so one standard lot costs about $1 in spread plus $6 commission. Inactive accounts pay $20 and then $20 a month. See our trading costs guide.
Platforms and tools
MT4 is available on CENT, Classic+ and DirectFX; MT5 on Classic+, DirectFX and xPRIME. XChief also runs PAMM accounts, copy trading and its own mobile app. Leverage falls in steps as equity rises: forex goes from 1:1000 below $3,000 to 1:40 above $100,000. See MT4 vs MT5.
Deposits and withdrawals
XChief lists bank transfers (SWIFT, SEPA and FPS) and cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, USDT, USDC), all at 0% on its side. Withdrawals go back to the source of the deposit. The agreement allows extra fees if you deposit and withdraw without trading.
Who it may suit
The set-up suits traders who want small MetaTrader accounts, including cent accounts, and accept that no licence could be confirmed. If regulatory protection matters to you, this structure gives you very little.

XChief: common questions
Is XChief regulated?
XChief says xChief Ltd is licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority in Comoros (licence T2023379) and that its South African introducer, xChief ZA (Pty) Ltd, is FSCA-authorised (FSP 54829). We could not confirm either licence on the regulators' own registers on 2026-10-20, so we list no confirmed regulator.
Which company will I join?
xChief Ltd, registration HY00923433, registered at Bonovo Road, Fomboni, Comoros. Its client agreement is governed by that company's terms.
What is the minimum deposit?
There is no minimum on the CENT account. Classic+ needs $10, DirectFX $50 and xPRIME $500.
Can I lose more than I deposit?
XChief's risk disclosure says it provides negative balance protection, so losses should not exceed your deposit. Leverage up to 1:1000 means you can lose that deposit very quickly.
