Client protection

Regulation and entities

Your protection depends on which company holds your account, and that depends on where you live. Each row is one licensed company. What regulation means

Regulation not yet checked. Do not deposit until you have found the licence on a regulator’s register.

No register to check: we could not find this firm on a regulator’s public register. A licence you cannot look up gives you no protection you can rely on. How to check a licence

Websites

Official websites

  • itbfx.com
  • itbfx.net

Type the address yourself or use a bookmark. Check it matches the website listed for the firm on the regulator’s register.

Watch out for look-alike sites

We have not recorded any look-alike sites for ITBFX. That does not mean none exist.

A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Accounts and costs

Account types and costs not yet checked.

Cost per lot = typical EUR/USD spread × $10 + round-turn commission, for one standard lot (100,000 units) in busy hours. Swap and other fees are extra. Trading costs explained

Leverage and margin

Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most ITBFX allows; you can always use less. For comparison, strict regulators cap retail leverage at 1:30 on major pairs.

Asset classRetail clients
Forex and metals (Nano)1:200
Forex, metals, indices and crypto (Standard)1:400
Gold and silver (Gold)1:400

Stop-out
15% Gold; 20% Nano and Standard; 30% ECN; 40% Crypto and StockWhen your equity falls to 15% Gold; 20% Nano and Standard; 30% ECN; 40% Crypto and Stock of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.

Margin level = equity ÷ used margin × 100. Without negative balance protection, a fast market can gap past the stop-out and leave you owing money. Work out your margin level

Features

Strengths

  • Six account types on MetaTrader 5, with a demo version of each
  • The Nano account opens from $10 and trades in steps of 0.001 lots
  • Swap-free (Islamic) option on request
  • The client agreement says client money is held in segregated accounts

Watch out for

  • Says it is regulated by the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) but publishes no licence number; we could not confirm a licence on MISA's register on 2026-10-29 (the register sits behind a bot check).
  • The BVI Financial Services Commission's Public Statement 2 of 2020 says www.itbfx.com circulated a forged BVI investment business licence and has never been licensed in or from the BVI.
  • No negative balance protection: the account risk warnings say losses can exceed your deposit, and the agreement makes you pay any shortfall within two working days.
  • The website names International Trading Brachium Ltd (Saint Lucia), while the client agreement names ITB Limited (Seychelles); neither is a licensed firm on any register we checked.

Overview

ITBFX, also called ITB Broker, offers CFDs on forex, gold and silver, indices, energies, shares and cryptocurrencies through MetaTrader 5. It says it was founded in 2017 and focuses on the Middle East and North Africa, with websites in English, Persian, Arabic and Turkish. The website names International Trading Brachium Ltd, an international business company registered in Saint Lucia, as the company behind it. There are six accounts: Nano, Standard, Gold, ECN, Crypto and Stock.

Regulation and safety

The regulation page says ITB was placed under the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) in 2018. It gives no licence number, and its checking link points to mwaliregestrar.com, a domain that does not exist (MISA’s site is mwaliregistrar.com). We tried that register on 2026-10-29, but it sits behind a bot check, so we could not confirm a licence. Even a confirmed MISA licence is offshore, with no compensation scheme.

The same page lists ITB LLC, a St Vincent and the Grenadines company registered in 2022. International Trading Brachium Ltd does appear on Saint Lucia’s registry of international business companies. Registrations like these are not financial licences. The client agreement names a third company, ITB Limited in Victoria, Seychelles, under Seychelles law. We found no ITB company on the FSA Seychelles list of securities dealers. The agreement also claims membership of the Financial Commission, a private complaints body; ITBFX was not on its member list.

On 21 February 2020 the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission published Public Statement 2 of 2020. It says www.itbfx.com was circulating a forged investment business licence in the name of Trading Opportunity Management Company Ltd., a BVI-licensed firm it has no connection with, and that the site has never been licensed in or from the BVI.

The agreement says client money is held in accounts that include segregated accounts in the company’s name. There is no negative balance protection: if your account goes below zero, you must pay the shortfall within two working days. See our guide to forex broker regulation and our broker check.

Costs

Nano and Standard charge no commission, with spreads from 1.5 and 2 pips. ECN starts at 0.0 pips plus $4 per lot. The Gold account starts at 1 pip and charges a commission that is not stated. Crypto charges $1 to $10 per lot. Typical spreads are not published. The agreement allows $5 a month on accounts with no trading for six months, 3% of a withdrawal made without trading, and lets ITBFX give balances of $1 or less to charity once an account has been closed or inactive for 90 days. Compare with our trading costs guide.

Platforms and tools

MetaTrader 5 is the only platform, on Windows, macOS, the web, iOS and Android, with Expert Advisors allowed. Trades held for less than one minute are not permitted, and their profits may be rejected. ITBFX may cut Standard leverage to 1:100 in the hour before the Friday close and can change leverage without notice. See MT4 vs MT5.

Deposits and withdrawals

Methods depend on your country and are shown only in the client portal. The FAQ lists cryptocurrency transfers and local currency exchange services. ITBFX says it charges no deposit or withdrawal fees and processes most withdrawals within one business day, after your identity is verified. Crypto and exchange-service payments are hard to reverse if something goes wrong.

Who it may suit

The set-up fits Persian- and Arabic-speaking traders who want MetaTrader 5, small deposits and high leverage, and who accept that no licence could be confirmed. If you want a regulator you can check, a compensation scheme and negative balance protection, this structure does not provide them.

How to open an account

The steps as we checked them. Never deposit until you have confirmed the licence.

  1. Check which company you will join

The website footer names International Trading Brachium Ltd, The Sotheby Building, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia. The client agreement on the same site names ITB Limited, Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles, under Seychelles law. Ask ITBFX in writing which company holds your account before you deposit.

  2. Register

Sign up on the ITBFX client portal with your name, email address and mobile number. ITBFX does not accept residents of the USA, Japan, Canada, Saint Lucia, Australia, North Korea, the EU or the UK.

  3. Verify your identity

Upload one identity document that is valid for at least six more months. You can trade before verification, but you cannot withdraw until it is done.

  4. Choose an account

Nano from $10 (spreads from 1.5 pips, no commission), Standard from $50 (from 2 pips, no commission), Gold from $50 (from 1 pip plus commission), ECN from $100 (from 0.0 pips plus $4 per lot), Crypto from $100 and Stock from $300. All accounts are in US dollars.

  5. Fund the account

Payment methods are shown in the client portal and depend on your country. ITBFX lists cryptocurrency transfers and local currency exchange services. Use a wallet or account in your own name.

  6. Practise first

Open a demo account on MetaTrader 5 before trading with real money. Note that trades held for less than one minute are not allowed.

What changed on this profile

  1. Profile published. MISA licence could not be confirmed (the register sits behind a bot check). Saint Lucia company registration checked on the Saint Lucia registry of international business companies; BVI FSC Public Statement 2 of 2020 and the FSA Seychelles list of securities dealers checked. itbfx.com did not load from our network, so facts were read from archived copies of ITBFX's own pages and legal documents.

ITBFX says it has been under the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) since 2018, but it publishes no licence number. We could not confirm a licence on MISA's register on 2026-10-29, so we list no confirmed regulator. Its Saint Lucia and St Vincent companies are registrations, not financial licences. The BVI Financial Services Commission said in 2020 that www.itbfx.com has never been licensed in the BVI.

Which company will I join?

The website names International Trading Brachium Ltd, registered in Saint Lucia. The client agreement it publishes names ITB Limited, registered in Seychelles. Ask ITBFX to confirm the company in writing before you deposit.

What is the minimum deposit?

$10 for the Nano account, $50 for Standard and Gold, $100 for ECN and Crypto, and $300 for the Stock account.

Can I lose more than I deposit?

Yes. ITBFX's own account risk warnings say losses can exceed your initial deposit, and the client agreement requires you to pay any amount above your account equity within two working days.
