Your protection depends on which company holds your account, and that depends on where you live. Each row is one licensed company. What regulation means

Watch out for look-alike sites
We have not recorded any look-alike sites for AMarkets. That does not mean none exist.
A clone firm copies a real broker’s name, licence number and branding to take deposits. The register shows the genuine firm, so the surest check is the contact details: if the website, email or phone number you were given is not the one on the register, treat it as a clone. Leverage and margin
Leverage lets you open a position bigger than your deposit, so losses grow as fast as gains. The caps below are the most AMarkets allows; you can always use less. For comparison, strict regulators cap retail leverage at 1:30 on major pairs.
20% on Standard; 40% on ECN and ZeroWhen your equity falls to 20% on Standard; 40% on ECN and Zero of your used margin, the platform starts closing your trades, usually the biggest loser first, until the level recovers.
Three account types with negative balance protection on each
Commission-free Standard account; ECN and Zero accounts for raw spreads

Watch out for
Says AMarkets LTD holds Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) licence T2023284; we could not confirm it on MISA's register on 2026-10-20, because the register sits behind a bot check
Its other companies are registrations in the Cook Islands and St Vincent and the Grenadines, not financial licences
No licence from a strict regulator; not available in the UK, EU, EEA or US
Leverage up to 1:3000 on every account
Overview
AMarkets has offered forex and CFD trading since 2007. It has three live accounts: Standard, ECN and Zero. All run on MetaTrader 4 or 5 (Zero on MT5 only) and are held in US dollars. AMarkets also runs a copy-trading service and its own mobile app. It does not take clients from the UK, EU, EEA or US.
Regulation and safety
AMarkets says AMarkets LTD is registered and licensed in Mwali (Comoros) by the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA), licence T2023284. MISA’s register sat behind a bot check when we tried it on 20 October 2026, so we could not confirm the licence. AMarkets LLC is registered in the Cook Islands under LLC14486/2023, and another AMarkets LTD in St Vincent and the Grenadines under number 22567 (2015). Those two are company registrations, not licences to offer trading.
AMarkets also says it is a member of the Financial Commission, a private dispute-resolution body. That is not a government regulator. We found no statement that client money is held in segregated accounts. Read our regulation guide and check a broker before you send money.
Costs
Standard quotes floating spreads from 1.3 pips with no commission on forex and metals. ECN starts from 0.2 pips plus $2.50 per lot per side, or $5 per round turn. Zero offers zero spreads on major pairs and metals for most of the time, plus $5.50 per lot per side. AMarkets does not publish typical spreads, so compare live prices on a demo. Our trading costs guide shows how.
Platforms and tools
You can use MT4, MT5, a web trader and the AMarkets app. Expert advisors and VPS hosting are available. See MT4 vs MT5.
Deposits and withdrawals
AMarkets offers bank transfers, cards, e-wallets and local methods, and says deposits are free. The list for your country appears after you verify your account. Payments must come from accounts in your own name.
Who it may suit
Traders outside the UK, EU and US who want MetaTrader with copy trading and accept that no licence has been confirmed. Use far less than the 1:3000 maximum leverage.
How to open an account
The steps as we checked them. Never deposit until you have confirmed the licence.
Check which company you will join

What changed on this profile
Profile published. AMarkets' stated MISA licence could not be checked on MISA's register, so no regulator is listed. amarkets.com could not be reached from our network; facts were read from AMarkets' own Persian-language site (amtrading.vip), which the main site lists as its Persian version.
AMarkets: common questions
Is AMarkets regulated?
AMarkets says AMarkets LTD is licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) under number T2023284. We could not check that on MISA's register on 20 October 2026, so we list no confirmed regulator. Its Cook Islands and St Vincent companies are company registrations, not financial licences.
Which company will I join?
One of AMarkets LTD (Comoros), AMarkets LLC (Cook Islands) or AMarkets LTD (St Vincent and the Grenadines). Your client agreement names the company, so read it before you deposit.
What is the minimum deposit?
$100 for the Standard account and $200 for the ECN and Zero accounts.
Can I lose more than I deposit?
AMarkets lists negative balance protection on all three accounts, so losses should be capped at your balance. Leverage of up to 1:3000 means that balance can go very quickly.
